There are a lot of writers out there these days, all trying to capture the attention of readers. Some of them are great, and some of them, well, not so much. How is a reader supposed to tell which writer will be the best bet to spend his/her limited resources on when it comes to time and money? A reader can narrow it down somewhat by selecting favorite genres (fantasy, scifi, mystery, romance, etc.), sticking with known writers, and taking recommendations from other trusted readers. But after that, it’s a leap of faith to put down the money to buy a novel or magazine.
As a reasonably new writer on the scene, I know it’s a risk for you to spend money on my work. I know you work hard for that money (don’t we all?), and I’m pretty sure you don’t want to get stuck with something you don’t like after you’ve parted with your hard earned cash. So, I’m going to give you a risk free way to try me out. I’m going to give you a free story. If you like it, and I hope you will, I hope you’ll spend your hard earned money on some of my other work, maybe even tell a few friends about this cool new author you found.
As time goes on, I’ll add more freebies, so keep checking back in this space. I really hope you’ll like them and tell your friends about them. And please, feel free to get in touch with me and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you.
